The name Bethany's Hope was chosen for this ministry due to the incredible amount of hope that must have existed in the village of Bethany during Jesus' time here on earth. While the actual meaning of the word "Bethany" has been debated, many have concluded it means "house of affliction" or "house of the poor".

The ministry of Bethany's Hope includes financial assistance to the BH kids for their school supplies, clothing, and shoes, giving food to local families in need, financial assistance for medical purposes to those who otherwise could not afford it, and financial assistance for church construction costs.
